What We Collect

Page views

When you view a page, we record the page address, the referring page, the date and time, and a short identifier derived from your IP address and browser type. That identifier is a one-way hash: we store it instead of your IP address so we can tell repeat visits apart without keeping a record of who you are or where you connected from. We do not store raw IP addresses for page views, and we do not use cookies for analytics.

This runs on our own server. No analytics data is sent to Google Analytics or any comparable service.

Forms

When you submit a form on this site, we store the answers you provide, the date and time, and your IP address. Form submissions are emailed to the relevant church staff and kept in our records so we can follow up. What is collected depends on the form — only the fields shown on the form itself.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address and the dates you subscribed, confirmed, and (if applicable) unsubscribed. We use confirmed opt-in: you will receive an email asking you to confirm before we send you anything. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you at any time.

Member accounts

If you create an account for the church portal, we store your username, email address, and a securely hashed password — we never store your password itself. We also store the ministry roles and department assigned to you. Accounts require email verification and approval by a church administrator before they become active.

Cookies

We use cookies only for functions the site cannot work without:

• A session cookie, so the site remembers you while you are logged in.
• A security cookie that protects forms against cross-site request forgery.

We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies.

Third-Party Content

Some pages embed or link to content hosted elsewhere. When that content loads, the provider may receive your IP address and set its own cookies, governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this one:

• YouTube — sermon and service video players
• Wowza — the live stream player
• Google Fonts — typefaces used across the site
• OpenStreetMap and Carto — the map on our contact page
• unpkg and Flowplayer — code libraries used by the site
• Adventist Giving — online donations, which are processed entirely on their site; we never see or store your payment details

How Long We Keep It

• Page views are deleted after six months.
• Form submissions are kept as part of our church records for as long as they remain useful for the purpose you submitted them.
• Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed.
• Account information is kept for as long as the account is active.

Who Can See It

Access is limited to church staff and volunteers who need it for their responsibilities. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. We may disclose information if we are legally required to do so.

The site runs on a server we control. Email is delivered through our email provider.

Your Choices

You may ask us to show you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any newsletter email. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, though doing so will prevent you from logging in.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
